The Reward for Hardwork is more Hardwork - ICAN CHAIRMAN


Those who desire reward for their dedication to professional assignments must exhibit the virtue of hard work as the saying goes “to whom much is given, much is expected.”  
Chairman, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) Jos and District Society, Julius T. Dooiyor stated this at the Annual Dinner/Award Night of the Institute which took place at Sarau Events Centre, Bepco Road, Behind NTA Jos. 
The ICAN boss while congratulating those who were presented awards for their outstanding contribution to ICAN said, the awards are meant to encourage the awardees to do more for their profession and local chapter, saying those nominated this year have worked hard for the progress of the District and the Accounting Profession. 
ICAN Jos and District Society members gathered with their friends, families and well-wishers in appreciation for a successful end to a fruitful year while looking forward to seeing a brighter new year in 2020. 
As is their tradition, five deserving persons from the Jos District Society were presented Awards of Excellence including Mr Ibrahim Alhassan, Bursar, University of Jos. Others were George Ojo, John Ejeheri, Helen Temtsen and Christian Anene Okoye. 
Speaking while receiving his Award, Mr. Ibrahim Alhassan expressed gratitude to ICAN Jos District and Society for finding him worthy of such recognition describing it as a rare privilege to be so honoured by his professional colleagues. 
Mr. Alhassan assured that the gesture would spur him to be more committed to the growth and development of ICAN and the Accounting Profession in general.
